Storyline
Way back when, Sam was engaged to Lucas; but things went bad when his hidden life of mistresses, drugs and alcohol came to light and Sam ended it. After building a life separate from Lucas, he has renewed his advances to Sam, oblivious to Sam's protests and putting her in a difficult position with her roommate, Cara, and Joe, Lucas' former best friend. When Lucas' problems finally spiral out of control and he commits suicide, everyone seems to be ready to hurl the blame onto Sam and Joe - an act which makes Sam finally confront the truth about the man she once loved. Her curiosity pushes her further into Lucas' world, and her own reality, than she's delved in years. Lucas' final night holds unexpected revelations for Sam, and forces her to examine her own actions and how she feels about both Lucas and Joe, and consider who is truly on her side.
