Storyline
Captains Dan Ainslie and Steve Troy are requested to provide pastoral care to those injured on the USS Liberty in Six Day War June of 1967. While both had assumed this would be a routine assignment in providing assistance and comfort to the ranks, they return to their base in Naples, Italy, home of the Sixth Fleet. An unusual request is made of Troy, assisted by Ainslie which in turn starts the beginning of a fluid and tempestuous relationship as they transfer from military to civilian life sealing a fate that lasts forty years.
