aaand now I have a headache
-
what's the crop of the actual sensor (not the lens format)? "it is worth noting that the 50MP sensor is 43.8 x 32.9mm and the 100MP model measures 53.4 x 40mm – almost full frame for the 6 x 4.5cm...

AF sucks. The Sigma adapter and APS-C lenses will give competitive PDAF. Considering the EVF, that's competitive with the likes of the D500/7Dm2
-
I'd rather have 100mm f2.8 than 120mm f4.0. You can crop 20mp plenty but you can't remove the noise from higher ISO.
-
Sigma's adapter will give you their full line of APS-C lenses. There's nothing like the 18-35 f1.8 for m43.
-
Is this the most modern design they could find with drop-in apertures?
-
There's a reason telescopes specify aperture not focal length. At extreme telephoto nobody cares what angle of view you're focused down on. They care about how much light over that angle of view...
-
How does that cost them money? Reading the articles doesn't make them money. I doubt there's much additional ad traffic (impressions don't pay the bills) from somebody clicking through each page of...
-
The closest stops at 100mm but meets your other requirements, the G7x m2. Considering it's f2.8 at the long end, it can crop and still have equivalent light of f4.0 at 120mm (or there abouts)
-
Why the DL18-50 as a comparison? It has no viewfinder and has a shorter focal reach at 50mm vs the kit lens 70mm, as well as a much smaller sensor. The LX100 is a much more direct comparison. It's...
-
I can see the apple ad now. "Close... far. Don't let the moment escape your reach"
-
A D4 is not better in low light than an 810 due to pixel count. It's better (barely) because it's dynamic range sucks. The 810 focused on base ISO performance (resolution, dynamic range). The D4...

I'm just of the opinion that there's no market beyond cell phones and fixed lens compacts (with really fast glass) for cameras of this size/price. I thought the GX8 was a more reasonable...

"And to be fair, 42MP." I love that sentence!
-
G1xm2 is a 1.5" sensor, which is bigger than M43. Speculation, since it's the only camera with a sensor that size and canon's APS-C is a little small anyway, is that it's an 18mp Canon APS-C...

A wonderful lens awaiting a suitable sensor. Imagine this lens with the A6300 or NX1 sensor in a $800 package... yum. I was hoping they'd dig in a bit further and show if the sensor was actually...
-
captura, you're missing the entire APS-C Sigma line. ALL of which is available in EF mount. Everything in their new line is compatible through the adapter with all the AF features of the A6300....
-
APS-C E-mount's about to get the full sigma line through an adapter and that includes things like the 18-35 f1.8. The real gaps on the APS-C side are due to the junkiness of the 16-50 PZ and the...
-
Sony needs a pro body. They need to make an FE-mount A99-like thing with the guts of an A7Rm2 and the viewfinder/AF of the A6300. Big battery portrait grip too.
-
Sigma's adapter will allow EF-S versions which have stabilization.
Activity older than 12 months is not displayed.
