Underworld Blood Wars Announced as Title for Fifth Film in the Franchise

For quite some time, this upcoming October has been an anticipated month for Underworld fans looking forward to seeing Kate Beckinsale return as Selene in the fifth film of the franchise. Now those fans know what to mark down on their calendars, as the new movie has officially been titled Underworld Blood Wars.

Announced on the franchise’s official Facebook page, Underworld Blood Wars is slated for an October 14th release from Lakeshore Entertainment and Screen Gems, according to Box Office Mojo.

While specific plot details have not yet surfaced, it has been revealed that Beckinsale will reprise her role as Selene, Theo James (Divergent) will return to play the vampire David from Underworld: Awakening, Bradley James (Damien) will play a villainous role, and Charles Dance (Game of Thrones) will once again portray Thomas, the Vampire elder.

Friday The 13th: The Game Overview Video Uses a Truck to Escape Jason

With summer camp season around the corner, Friday the 13th fans are one step closer to Gun Media’s fall release of Friday the 13th: The Game. The Mind’S Eye Acquired by Rlj Entertainment

Almost Human writer/director Joe Begos’ latest film, The Mind’s Eye, has been acquired for North American distribution by Rlj Entertainment:

Press Release: Los Angeles, April 12, 2016 – Rlj Entertainment (Nasdaq: Rlje) has acquired all North American rights to the thriller, The Mind’S Eye. Doctor Strange Teaser Poster Unveiled

The Sorcerer Supreme and the Sanctum Sanctorum are teased in a new poster for Marvel StudiosDoctor Strange movie.

The first teaser trailer for Doctor Strange will be revealed tonight on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and we’ll be sure to share it with Daily Dead readers.

April 12th Blu-ray & DVD Releases Include Bride Of Re-animator, The Forest, Village Of The Damned (1995)

April 12th is a good day to be a genre fan, as we have several great releases coming our way this Tuesday. Arrow Films has put together the definitive edition of the cult classic Bride of Re-Animator that is filled to the brim with all sorts of awesomeness, and Scream Factory is taking us to the Village of the Damned with their Collector’s Edition Blu-ray as well as a double feature of Destroyer and Edge of Sanity.

If you missed it in theaters, now you can finally catch up with The Forest as it arrives on both formats Tuesday. If you’ve been holding out on adding It Follows to your home entertainment collection, there’s a new steelbook edition coming out this week that looks great and we’re also finally getting Flight 7500 on DVD April 12th.

Watch a New Clip from AMC’s Preacher

A new clip from the series premiere of AMC’s Preacher (based on Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon’s cult comic book series of the same name) features Tulip (Ruth Negga) in a tough spot.

The first episode of Preacher makes its TV debut on Sunday, May 22nd at 10:00pm Est after the mid-season finale of Fear The Walking Dead. After re-airing the premiere over Memorial Day weekend, the next new episode will air on Sunday, June 5th at 9:00pm Est, which will be the show’s regular time slot for the rest of the season.

Twilight Time Announces Blu-ray Release of Theatre Of Blood, Starring Vincent Price

This summer, Vincent Price fans who live stateside are in for a treat, because Twilight Time will release 1973’s Theatre of Blood on Blu-ray for the first time in the Us.

According to Blu-ray.com, Twilight Time has slated their Theatre of Blood Blu-ray for an August 16th release. Special features and cover art have yet to be revealed, but based on Twilight Time’s previous releases, there will likely only be 3,000 Blu-ray copies released and they are apt to sell out quickly, so be sure to keep an eye on the Screen Archives Entertainment website for pre-order availability.
