- All of the main characters are flying away from Palpatine on the Millennium Falcon and then out of no where the ship is hit by a lazer beam from a star destroyer, killing everyone on board and ending the movie with the Empire rising again. It is a very shocking ending and you see the aftermath which includes bloody body parts floating around. Very graphic and sad.
