Watch: Francis Ford Coppola Explains His "Live Cinema" Project ‘Distant Vision’ And More In 57-Minute Talk

“We’re not gonna talk about wine,” legendary filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola quipped at the Tribeca Film Festival where he sat down for a wide-ranging Storytellers talk moderated by author Jay McInerney. And it was an appropriate setting for the man who gave the world “The Godfather,” as he’s now embarking on another epic story. “Distant Vision” is a massive undertaking that Coppola has been working on for a while now. In 2014 he described it as "a multi-generational saga about an Italian-American family not unlike his own" and later explained the unique approach he was going to take with. "It’s sort of like [Thomas Mann's] 'Buddenbrooks' because it’s about three generations of a family,” Coppola said in 2015. “It happens during the birth of television; the growth and omnipresence of television and finally the end of television as it turns into the internet. Then I decided that I wanted to do it as live television. »

Exclusive: Danger Lurks In Clip From Arrow Video's Restored ‘80s Cult Thriller ‘The Zero Boys’

While Hans Zimmer is better known now his relationship with directors like Christopher Nolan, it was Nico Mastorakis who helped first get his foot in the door of the industry. One of Zimmer’s earliest credits was on the filmmaker’s slice of ‘80s horror nastiness, “The Zero Boys” (and would also score the director's next effort, "Terminal Exposure") and the film has now being given a fresh 2K restoration by Arrow Video for its upcoming Blu-ray release. Kelli Maroney leads the movie that follows a group of friends, who head to the woods for a weekend of survival games, only to wind up fighting for the actual lives against a group of inbred, bloodthirsty, maniacs. Featuring some gruesome scenes that would lay the path for pictures like “Hostel” and “Saw,” this one is a must for horror buffs. Check out our exclusive clip from the movie below which teases »

Dwayne Johnson Is Ready To Play In New Trailer For 'Ballers' Season 2

Sure, "Game Of Thrones" might be HBO's biggest show, but when it comes to their comedies, you might be surprised to learn the hit series title doesn't belong to "Veep" or "Silicon Valley." It's actually "Ballers" that's bringing in viewers in a massive way, and you can probably thank the star wattage of Dwayne Johnson for that. And he's bringing his charisma and well tailored suits back for a second season and a new trailer is here. Essentially "Entourage" by way of sports, the Miami-set show follows The Rock, agent to top tier athletes, as he navigates the egos and money that are involved when dealing with that world. Key supporting roles are filled by Rob Corddry, with Andy Garcia playing the baddie this season. "Ballers" is back on July 17th. »

“We Are Writing The Final Act Now”: ‘Game Of Thrones’ Showrunners Talk The Road To The End

As fans continue to discuss everything that happened on the first episode of “Game Of Thrones” season six, they do so with the knowledge that the end is nigh. The showrunners have already teased they’ve got about thirteen episodes left to go before the saga in Westeros is finished, and they are underlining the fact that the series will be concluded in the not too distant future. “We're approaching the finish line. From the outset, our hope was to tell a complete story — beginning, middle and end. We are writing the final act now, and the last thing we want to do is stay on stage after the play is over,” David Benioff and D.B. Weiss told THR. The pair admit they saw the end on the horizon a few years back, when they met with author George R.R. Martin and knew the show would wind up outpacing the source material. »

Danny McBride and Walton Goggins Battle In New Trailer For HBO’s ‘Vice Principals’

After “Eastbound & Down” called it a day, it was likely just a matter of time before HBO and Danny McBride found something else to work on together, and indeed they have. “Vice Principals” is the latest twisted comedy to come from the ‘Eastbound’ team, and it looks like fans are in for a treat. McBride and Walton Goggins lead the show, squaring off as high school vice principals angling for the top job. Of course, this leads to the kind of wild antics we expect from McBride, plus plenty of foul mouthed quips to go with it. Meanwhile, the supporting cast is strong with Shea Whigham, Busy Philipps, and Georgia King getting in on the fun. “Vice Principals” hits HBO on July 17th. Watch below. »

Recap: 'Game Of Thrones' Season 6, Episode 1 Gets In Bed With 'The Red Woman'

Jon Snow is dead. Long live Jon Snow.  We’re back in the land of Westeros, living in a post-Jon Snow world (for the moment? Maybe? We hope?) trying to pick up the wildly scattered pieces in Season 6 of “Game of Thrones.” The series, having transcended its book form, now has anywhere and everywhere to go. So where do showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss want to go? In this first episode, which they wrote, and was directed by Jeremy Podeswa, they look to the women of the show, who are gathering themselves up from the shattering events of last season, and getting ready to step into their own power.  If there’s a theme to “The Red Woman,” it might just be Girl Power, which is a promising turn. The show has always been interested in women in power, from Daenerys to Cersei to Catelyn Stark, though it »
