Everyone else, wait for the full trailer. Asa Butterfield, Eva Green, Allison Janney, Rupert Everett, Kim Dickens, Judi Dench, and Samuel L. Jackson all star in the movie, out on March 4, 2016. »

Eva Green, Allison Janney, Judi Dench, Samuel L. Jackson, Chris O'Dowd, Terrence Stamp, Ella Purnell and Rupert Everett star in the film which opens February 19th next year.

Tim Burton's 'Miss Peregrine' Teaser Celebrates Loop Day

3 September 2015 5:32 PM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

While September 3 may seem like any ordinary day for most people, it holds special significance for fans of Ransom Riggs' beloved novel Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. In the book, September 3 is "Loop Day," so 20th Century Fox put a new video together to celebrate this occasion, in honor of the upcoming adaptation that hits theaters on March 4, 2016. This video comes just a few months after director Tim Burton shared the official title treatment.

In the original novel, Miss Peregrine's home is situated in a time loop in September 3, 1940, with the clocks resetting every day just before her island home was bombed by German forces. The video below may be confusing without this context, but there is certainly a method behind its bizarre madness. This video doesn't include any actual footage from the movie, but hopefully the first trailer will arrive any day now.

Why Beetlejuice 2 has much to live up to

18 August 2015 1:17 PM, PDT | Den of Geek | See recent Den of Geek news »

Plans are afoot for a sequel to Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. But what made the original so special, and where might the sequel go?

Last week, an extremely cautious Winona Ryder confirmed on Late Night With Seth Myers that a sequel to Tim Burton's beloved 1988 haunted house comedy Beetlejuice was finally in the works. Ryder will be reprising her role as Lydia Deetz, with Burton back behind the megaphone and Michael Keaton, fresh from a career-resurrecting turn in Birdman (2014), again starring as 'the ghost with the most'.

Ryder's announcement was met with the inevitable woops and cheers from Myers' studio audience, but fans of Burton's breakthrough feature will be seeking reassurances that the forthcoming follow-up will remain true to the spirit of its predecessor.

For those who've never seen it, Beetlejuice tells the story of Adam and Barbara Maitland (Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis), a happily married couple living »

Beetlejuice 2: Winona Ryder set to return

11 August 2015 10:19 PM, PDT | Den of Geek | See recent Den of Geek news »

Winona Ryder is set to rejoin Michael Keaton for Tim Burton's Beetlejuice 2...

Just because we've not heard anything on the project for a little while, it doesn't mean there hasn't been progress. Plans remain afoot for Beetlejuice 2, which Tim Burton may well be getting to after he's finished directing his current project, Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children.

Michael Keaton is set to reprise the title role for the new movie, which is being penned by Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg. And now Winona Ryder too has confirmed she's set to return for the movie.

"I think I can confirm it because Tim Burton did this interview", she said on Late Night With Seth Meyers in the Us.

"It was very hush-hush, top secret", she said, "and then he was doing some press for Big Eyes and he did an on-camera interview and he said, 'oh yeah, »

Tim Burton is embracing social media in the promotion of his latest fantasy adventure. He jumped on his personal Facebook page last night to share the first official look at his upcoming adaptation Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. While we don't get to see any of the characters yet, we do get to see the home mentioned in the title. And we get some bird symbolism. It looks like nothing but blue skies for these strange kids who are about to get a very unexpected visitor.

Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children is based upon the best-selling novel by Ransom Riggs. We won't get to see the movie until March 4, 2016, so a trailer may still be miles away. The movie has quite an ensemble of fan-favorite talent, lead by Asa Butterfield, who lost out on the role of Spider-Man just in the last few months. At least he has »

Tim Burton takes flight as director of new live-action 'Dumbo' remake

10 March 2015 2:00 PM, PDT | Hitfix | See recent Hitfix news »

Those of you who live in mortal fear that an original idea might actually get produced in Hollywood these days, I have good news for you. I'll say this much for the idea: Tim Burton's version of a circus is probably something I should see once in my life. Other than that, though, I'm not sure about the idea of a live-action "Dumbo." I get it as a business decision, because Disney has realized that there is big money to be made from doing live-action versions of its classic animated films. I suspect "Cinderella" is going to make a small mountain of money for the studio, and I'll confess that I am personally very curious about what director Jon Favreau is up to with "The Jungle Book." At least with "Maleficent," they took a different approach to the same story, and that perspective was used to change the way you feel about the characters. »

Samuel L Jackson for Tim Burton's Miss Peregrine's film

8 February 2015 10:54 PM, PST | Den of Geek | See recent Den of Geek news »

Tim Burton's film of Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children is adding Samuel L Jackson in a newly-created role...

Tim Burton's most recent film, Big Eyes, may not have made the splash that many were expecting, but there are still merits to it that make it worth seeking out. As for the director himself, he's moving onto his next film, the big screen adaptation of Ransom Riggs' Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children.

Jane Goldman has been working on the script for this one, and 20th Century Fox has already earmarked a release date of March 4th 2016. And not for the first time in Tim Burton's adaptations of popular books, a new character is being introduced solely for the film version. The role in question is Barron, about whom very little is known. And Deadline is reporting that Samuel L Jackson is in talks to take the part on. »
