Heartbeat: Cancel or Keep the New NBC Medical Drama?

Chicago Med has already been renewed for a season two and The Night Shift is returning for its third season in June. But, how is their newest medical drama Heartbeat doing? Will it be cancelled or renewed for a second season?

Set at the fictional St. Matthew's Hospital, Heartbeat follows a cardio-thoracic surgeon, Dr. Alex Panttiere (Melissa George), as she tries to juggle her personal and professional lives. She eagerly fights authority, particularly when it comes to her patients' health and well-being. The rest of the cast includes Dave Annable, Don Hany, Joshua Leonard, Jamie Kennedy, D.L. Hughley, Shelley Conn, Maya Erskine, and J. Louis Mills.

Adventure Time, Twilight Zone, Battlestar Galactica: New World Record Set for TV Binging

What's your record for binge-watching? However many hours you've spent in front of the screen, it's not as many as Alejandro “Aj” Fragoso. Variety reports the 25-year-old New Yorker just set the Guinness World Record for TV binge-watching.

Fragoso spent 94 hours watching a marathon of shows that included Game of Thrones, Adventure Time (pictured), Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Twilight Zone, Battlestar Galactica, and Bob's Burgers.

Beowulf: Cancelled by ITV; No Season Two

Beowulf shall return to the Shieldlands, no more. C21 Media reports ITV has cancelled its Beowulf TV series after the first season. The news that Beowulf would get the axe, first broke in February.

Girlfriend's Guide to Divorce: Bravo Series Renewed for Three Seasons

Bravo has renewed their Girlfriend's Guide to Divorce TV show in a big way. The cable channel has picked up the series for three years -- season three, season four, and season five.

Inspired by the book series by Vicki Iovine, Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce follows self-help guru Abby McCarthy (Lisa Edelstein). She shocks the world when she reveals that she has separated from her husband and she soon finds her career in a free fall. As she starts to navigate life as a middle-aged single woman, Abby turns to her divorced friends for advice. Other performers include Beau Garrett, Alanna Ubach, Necar Zadegan, and Paul Adelstein.

In the Cut: Bounce TV Show Renewed for Third Season

Bounce TV has renewed the In the Cut TV series for a third season. Season three will premiere in the third quarter of 2017. In the Cut stars Dorien Wilson, Ken Lawson, and John Marshall Jones. The cast also includes Jackée Harry and Dorion Renaud.

The Bernie Mac Show's Kalita Smith joins the sitcom in season two, which premieres in July. The series was quietly renewed for a second season some time ago and those episodes have been shot and are currently being edited.

In The Cut was created by Bentley Kyle Evans who produces with Trenten Gumbs, both of whom are having a pretty good day. The duo produces Family Time, which was also renewed, today. The In the Cut season season three order was announced in a multi-show press release. The relevant portions are excerpted, below.

Family Time: Fourth Season Renewal from Bounce TV

Things aren't stalling for the Stallworths. Bounce TV has renewed the Family Time TV series for a fourth season. Season four will premiere in the fourth quarter of 2016. No premiere date has been specified.

Family Time stars Omar Gooding and Angell Conwell. The cast also includes Tanjareen Thomas, Bentley Kyle Evans Jr., and Jayla Calhoun. The sitcom was created by Evans who produces with partner Trenten Gumbs. The Family time season four pickup was announced in a multi-show press release. The relevant portions are excerpted, below.

Mann & Wife: Bounce TV Orders Season Three of Sitcom

Bounce TV says, "I do." The network has renewed its Mann & Wife TV series for a third season. Mann & Wife stars the real-life husband and wife team of David Mann and Tamela Mann, who also executive produce the sitcom. The cast also includes Vivica A. Fox, Tony Rock, and JoMarie Payton.

Series co-creator Roger Bobb serves as executive producer and director. New season two episodes of Mann & Wife are currently airing Tuesday nights at 9:00 p.m. Et/Pt.Season three of Mann & Wife will premiere in spring, 2017.
