Is ‘Fear the Walking Dead’ Star Colman Domingo the Show’s Negan?

18 hours ago | The Wrap | See recent The Wrap news »

As “Fear the Walking Dead” Season 1 came to an end, the blended families of Travis (Cliff Curtis), Madison (Kim Dickens) and Daniel (Ruben Blades) took refuge with the mysterious Victor Strand and planned to embark for safety on his yacht, The Abigail. Strand (Colman Domingo) remains mostly a mysterious force, with mysterious motives, which naturally reminded fans of mothership show “The Walking Dead” of another character who is familiar to comic book fans and who finally made an appearance in the form of Jeffrey Dean Morgan on the recent “Walking Dead” Season 6 finale. “Who am I? Am I Negan? »

Performer of the Week: Robin Wright

9 April 2016 7:32 AM, PDT | TVLine.com | See recent TVLine.com news »

The Performer | Robin Wright

The Show | House of Cards

The Episode | “Chapter 49” (March 4, 2016)

The Performance | Let’s just come right out and say it: Wright won House of Cards‘ fourth season by a veritable landslide. Her steely first lady stole the show early on as Claire went toe-to-toe with husband Francis in an epic battle of intellect and hubris, and Wright had us rooting for her Flotus every step of the way. (Not that she needed our support — she had the situation more than handled.)

While that marital battle raged, Claire was fighting a war on another front — with her »

‘Saturday Night Live’ Ratings Flat With Host Russell Crowe

47 minutes ago | Deadline TV | See recent Deadline TV news »

NBC's Saturday Night Live with host Russell Crowe and musical guest Margo Price averaged a 4.0 rating in the metered-market households and a 1.8 in adults 18-49 in the markets with local people meters. That was just a tad up in the demo from last week’s telecast hosted by Peter Dinklage (4.0, 1.9) and matched the episode before that, hosted by Jonah Hill (4.0 and 1.8). Last night’s episode matched a season low for SNL in 18-49. (In households, the show’s low mark this… »

‘Saturday Night Live’ Plumbs The Depths With Russell Crowe And Kyle Mooney

3 hours ago | Deadline TV | See recent Deadline TV news »

Well it took some doing — a full-on effort, one can only surmise, by everyone in the writers’ room — but last night’s Russell Crowe-hosted SNL was the rattiest, tattiest, rock-bottom crummiest Saturday Night Live of all time. Ok, that low bar has been set, and re-set, more often than Donald Trump’s policy on anything, which only makes last night’s achievement all the more noteworthy. The Family season 1 episode 7 is promising to be one emotional upheaval after another!  The aftermath of learning what happened to ten-year-old Adam Warren doesn’t look like it’s going to be bringing much peace to anyone – especially not to Claire Warren (Joan Allen) or her daughter Willa (Alison Pill).  Here’s the press release synopsis: In dramatic flashbacks we find out about Adam’s return to Red Pines, which plays out against the emotional backdrop of Willa’s long-held secrets and lies. We get a glimpse of what Adam went through in captivity and Hank’s desperate state of mind while incarcerated.

Castle season 8 episode 16 is called “Heartbreaker” – but it’s not a reflection of how it makes the viewer feel – thank goodness!  In fact, this is an episode that has some real positive things going for it.  The first is how it showcases Jon Huertas as detective Javier Esposito.  Although the case is about his past with a woman he arrested ten years prior – what makes, “Heartbreaker” work as a Castle episode is: his bromance with detective Kevin Ryan (Seamus Dever), the longstanding friendship he’s had with the woman who is now not just his boss, but his Captain

‘Hush’ (2016) Film Review

I’m a huge horror fan, and one of my surprise favorite horror movies in the past couple of years was Oculus, the critically-acclaimed mainstream debut of director Mike Flanagan (he had previously directed the lesser-known Absentia). I’ve been eagerly awaiting Flanagan’s follow-up to Oculus for months, and Netflix (who has worldwide distribution rights to the film) has finally delivered with Hush (after its March premiere at South by Southwest). The film got rave reviews at its festival premiere, but was the hype and anticipation really worth it? Thankfully, yes. To summarize the story, Hush is a horror-thriller in which a deaf and mute author (played by Kate

‘Outlander’ Stars Talk Season 2 Premiere Revelations, New Enemies in France

15 hours ago | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

Spoiler warning: This post contains plot details for “Outlander” Season 2, Episode 1, titled “Through a Glass, Darkly.”

We last saw Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) setting sail for France following a harrowing encounter with Black Jack Randall (Tobias Menzies) in the 1700s, but the Season 2 premiere of “Outlander” opened somewhere else entirely — back in Scotland in 1948, with a distraught Claire reuniting with her first husband, Frank (Menzies), desperate to learn the outcome of the infamous Battle of Culloden, to see whether she and Jamie had succeeded in changing the course of history.

More than half of the episode was dedicated to Claire and Frank’s attempts to reconcile what had happened to Claire in the past, while looking towards an uncertain future together, before we took a jaunt back to 1745 as Claire and Jamie arrived in France and got to know Jamie’s cousin, Jared (Robert Cavanah), a wine merchant and Jacobite. »

Outlander‘s Season 2 premiere finds our Lady Broch Tuarach stumbling back into her present with a leaden heart and a whopper of a secret that nearly destroys her husband. No, not that husband. The other one, ol’ Sad Fedora Frank.
