I have never heard a lot (of good or bad things) about The Mindy Project, but having enjoyed seeing Mindy Kaling on The Office, I thought I would give this a shot. So far, I've seen 15 episodes of the first season. I liked it a lot in the beginning, with the pilot being my favourite episode to date, and I still like it now though perhaps not as much as before.
The show is easy to relate to, funny in a Parks and Rec sort of way, and nothing seems too extraordinary except for the few way-too-handsome men that Mindy has dated. I also really enjoy how adorable this show is. It's quite uplifting, too. For some reason, it reminds me of Pushing Daisies -- not story-wise, but perhaps music-wise and general atmosphere-wise.
To sum up, I enjoy the show and think it's worth more than a 7.4 average rating. I recommend it to those who like quirky modern comedy shows. And I still can't quite wrap my head around any of the three characters -- Mindy, Danny, or Jeremy -- being doctors, but hey that's just me.
