It Director To Remake Horror Classic The Howling For Netflix

Andy Muschietti, the director of Stephen King adaptations It and It: Chapter Two, has been tapped by Netflix to helm a remake of classic ‘80s werewolf movie The Howling, after having previously stated it to be a project he’d love to be involved with.

The story follows a TV news anchor who develops amnesia resulting from the trauma of acting as bait in a police sting to capture the serial killer stalking her. She’s sent along with her husband to recuperate at a secluded rural resort, only for it to transpire that the isolation hides a number of werewolves who will stop at nothing to maintain their secret. The film is considered one of the greatest werewolf movies ever made, and alongside An American Werewolf in London is certainly the best that the ‘80s produced.

The original film was ostensibly based on the novel of the same name by horror author Gary Brandner,

Things to Look for on Attack on Titan Season 4

It doesn’t really feel as though Attack on Titan has been on TV for that long, and compared to many other shows it really hasn’t since it started up in 2013 and has been a popular anime show since then. But upon returning to season 4 there are a few things that fans might want to know according to Craig Elvy of ScreenRant, and it’s fair to say that those wanting more of the show will be disappointed to learn that this will be the final season before things wrap up. The show itself has been fairly sadistic and has

Anime Promare opens in UK cinemas on 26th November

From the moment Studio Trigger first unleashed “Kill la Kill” on the world, we’ve been enthralled by their unique mix of intense, flamboyant action and well-developed characters that have made it and the likes of “Ssss.Gridman” such celebrated fan favourites. Anyone already familiar with their work may have had an idea of the undiluted joy that awaits them, yet Studio Trigger’s first feature film exceeds expectations as a culmination of Imaishi’s work that needs to be experienced sprawling across the big screen.

Burning bright at the core of “Promare” are its two central characters, the self-proclaimed moron Galo, and the terrorist leader Lio. Fuelled by passion and a tendency to act without thinking, Galo’s mix of charm and macho charisma makes him the perfect pilot for this adrenaline rush of a film, and a compelling contrast to Lio’s cool, androgynous persona. When their fates

Anime Review: Megalo Box (2018) by Yo Moriyama

In the near future, the chasm between the poor and the rich has widened even further which has increased the demand for ways to keep society’s disenfranchised at bay. Megalo Boxing is one of those sports that has managed to entertain a majority of the population with many highly lucrative tournaments founded by companies such as the wealthy Shirato Coporation. However, since the boxers need to have technologically advanced gear to participate the poor have very little chance of taking part in these fights.

Nevertheless, in the ghettos outside the big city, Joe, nicknamed Jnk.Dog in the ring, has made a living fighting in rigged fights using rusty, old gear. Yearning for a chance to prove himself with the best of the discipline, he finally seizes the opportunity to participate in the biggest tournament celebrating the opening of a new arena built by the Shirato Coporation.

Attack On Titan 2: Final Battle Review

As a longtime fan of all things unnerving, unsettling, and flat-out horrific, I am rarely completely overwhelmed with stomach-churning repulsion or absolute terror. I’ve played through the Amnesia series without battling more than a few eyelashes, and Outlast 2 didn’t have much of an effect on me (though I will admit to getting pretty freaked out by the first installment). I’m not saying that because I feel the need to prove my masculinity on some outlandish level, but I want to impart just how much the Attack on Titan series freaks me right the hell out. Words cannot accurately describe how those oversized behemoths truly unnerve me, to the point that I’ve dreamt about being chased by those grinning, naked, sexless freaks on more than on terrifying occasion. I even like the admittedly misguided live-action movies. No joke.

And while the series definitely gives me a serious case of the shivers,

‘Attack on Titan’: Season 3 Is the Show’s Bleakest Yet

Shingeki no Kyojin, known in the West as Attack on Titan just concluded the second part of its third season, and after six years and 59 episodes we finally got some answers. Naturally, the way there was paved with stunning action and heartbreaking deaths. Also unsurprisingly, the answers we got caused controversy, with some accusing the series of anti-Semitism and pro-fascism ideas. This is somehow fitting for what turned out to be the bleakest season in an already harrowingly dark show. Spoilers ahead. Attack on Titan Season 3 Episode 22

"What did we really find in that basement? Was it hope? Or despair?"

It can sometimes be hard to take a win for a win, which is exactly what Eren Jaeger and company struggle with in the final installment of Attack on Titan's tremendous third season. This episode poses the question, "What did we really find in that basement? Was it hope? Or despair?" Now that all of this has been learned, are things honestly better or are they worse? The cost of this monumental knowledge and its repercussions get explored in this finale, but this will surely be one of the major themes of season four.

After such a busy final run of episodes,

Attack on Titan Season 3 Episode 21

“After all, you started this story, didn’t you?”

Sins of the father and generational trauma are topics that have been especially relevant over the course of Attack on Titan’s past few episodes. They’re themes that always bubble under the surface of this series and this is a show that is so often in conversation with its past, but “Attack Titan” is the purest take on this yet.

The avalanche of events that happen through Grisha’s life and arguably even everything that happens in Attack on Titan are all the result of Grisha trying to do the right thing for his people and how terribly wrong that goes.

Here’s What ‘Attack on Titan’ Would Look Like If It Was Pro-Fascist & Anti-Semitic

Spoilers ahead for the Attack on Titan manga and anime. I was rather surprised to tune into the latest episode of the Attack on Titan anime series and find out that, not only were we getting an origin story that took a trip back in time before Eren Yeager's birth, but that that story would be an allegory for a country's segregation of citizens seen as inferior or "vermin", specifically representing the Jewish people in Nazi Germany during World War II. Unexpected, to say the least. What I should have expected, however, was that the Internet would respond …
