I am a photographer for the US Olympic Committee and this was an event for wounded servicemen just back from overseas.
You're right, they are very competitive as evidenced by the dents on the front of the wheelchairs.

I volunteered for the Chicagoland (named Cruisers at the time) rugby practices some time ago...make no mistake, this is a competitive sport...

The photo captures the moment...well done....
