Loving the 300mm f4 with and without the mc14
2 days ago

Hello

Finally my 300 f4 and MC14 arrived just in time for a birding trip I had planned. The first 5 pictures are full frame uncropped, and just to show much detail is there. The next five pictures are of birds reasonably close (4 to 15 meters) to show the sharpness of the lens, and the last 7 are of BIF with AFC+TR with and without MC14, central 9 large squares.

I have no experience with the DSLR tracking, but I think I am quite happy with the results I got from this lens, I need to work on my skills with tracking and using AF.

AF is snappy and makes me happy and as of now have no complains.

Very happy with the sharpness and I must say my Nikkor 400mm f3.5 ai and the bigma is going on sale soon.

I am sure the results will improve as I get familiar with the lens.
