Possible Olympus FF dilemma....what will they do?

Doesn't seem to make much sense. There are many OEM lens makers who can do an excellent job, it would be going into a crowded market. The big asset that Olympus brings is the Olympus brand, which is renowned for very high quality lenses.

If Olympus goes into FF with its own branded lenses I'm pretty sure it'll be because it also sells big-sensor cameras.

I'm not sure why it would do that. The lenses are lower risk and higher margin.

My guess is that these would use the same lens mount as Sony models and could share some underlying technologies too. But overall, relatively unlikely.

They could be just rebranded Sonys - but what would be the point? Especially since there is a gap in the FE lens range - they are all huge. Olympus is well known for being able to make compact, high quality lenses - which could be an attractive alternative to the Sony and Zeiss offerings.
