I had experimented with a radial blur but it was too odd looking. I  changed the blending mode to "color burn" in PS CS6 to add contrast. I used a mask to open up exposure in the center which ...

I did some thing a little different to it.I applied a radial blur and masked it in a "color burn"blending mode ... I'll post with permission? David

Ray and Ambercool are both correct but ... The capacitor in that flash can kill you if you don't know how to properly discharge it before you work on it. Unless you have electronics experience DONT ...

leave the shadows alone, or do some selective lifting in that one small area under the head... the OOC shot is much better ;-) David

Not trying to be overly critical here, as I'm sure more practice will yield even better results... the first two BIFs don't appear to have enough resolution at that  distance . The RWBB is over ...
