Easy - I expect certain set of features and image quality from the device which is needed to be carried separately, so it will take one of my pockets. Once the camera has it, it is not small anymore. Therefore I take the camera in a bag, and when I have a bag, it can clearly be some good APS-C or FF stuff, greatly outdoing this not really small-nonbothering compact camera.

I carry too much stuff to be prepared for everything. You cannot lug all day with:

Wallet, credit cards, ID, coins, and more (1 pocket)

Cellphone with larger display (2nd pocket)

Knife,Weapons (at least third pocket) + belt

headphones (fourth pocket).

Dedicated compact camera I´m not happy with - fifth pocket.

Sometimes you simply need to carry something else.

At that point I go #!Duck all this! I wanna go light. I go basic, and if I want more, I take some bag with me

The biggest reason I carry a compact camera in the same pocket as my cell phone is because the compact has optical zoom and the cell phone does not. It's indispensable for me. I use it all the time.

How can you fit it in there? I simply couldn´t.
