Every Game Of Thrones Character That Was Recast (& Why)

Every Game Of Thrones Character That Was Recast (& Why)
In an eight-season-long show with several recurring faces spending literal years between appearances, it’s not surprising that many Game of Thrones characters were recast throughout the series. Game of Thrones featured an incredible and ever-changing ensemble cast. With such a large variety of characters and storylines during times of wars and violence, it wasn’t uncommon for actors to sign onto the series and expect their characters to die fairly quickly. For example, Game of Thrones was largely promoted with the image of actor Sean Bean for season 1, and his character Ned Stark was surprisingly killed off after only 9 episodes. Quickly showing that nobody is safe in the series, very few characters survived from the first episode through Game of Thrones’ divisive finale, with four of the six Stark siblings and Tyrion Lannister being the key exceptions. However, that doesn't explain all the Game of Thrones recasts.

‘Game of Thrones’ Fans Boycott George R.R. Martin’s Next Book, Accusing Coauthors of Racism
Bestselling fantasy author and “House of the Dragon” executive producer George R.R. Martin is caught in the crossfire of the heated battle over inclusive casting — and some of his fans are calling for a boycott of his upcoming book due to comments by its coauthors.

Out Oct. 25, “The Rise of the Dragon: An Illustrated History of the Targaryen Dynasty, Volume One” is being touted as a “deluxe reference book” for those itching to learn more about Westeros’ most powerful family. When Martin publicized it on social media last week, thousands of fans responded in outrage, many calling out the problematic behavior and “history of racism” of his coauthors, married couple Linda Antonsson and Elio M. Mona Lisa and the Blood Moon Review
Plot: A girl with unusual powers escapes from a mental asylum and tries to make it on her own in New Orleans.

Review: In many ways, Mona Lisa and the Blood Moon feels like the perfect story for 2022. Capitalizing on the general public’s wide superhero knowledge due to all the releases over the last decade, many interesting things are possible here without a ton of backstory needed. A mysterious girl that escapes from a mental hospital due to using these insane mind control abilities? Sign me right up! But does it manage to live up to that exciting premise? Yes and No.

Newcomer Jeon Jong-seo really impresses as the film’s lead. She’s practically mute but can convey so much with just a look. Her movement is extremely awkward and helps to sell the world around her. The few times she talks really leave an impact. But her
