Kindle Unlimited

Kindle Unlimited (KU, or Abonnement Kindle in France) is a subscription service currently available to customers in the U.S., U.K., Italy, Spain, Brazil, France, Mexico, Canada, Germany, and India. With Kindle Unlimited, customers can read as many books as they like and keep them as long as they want for a monthly subscription fee. They don't need to be Amazon Prime members.

If you have a book enrolled in KDP Select, it will automatically be enrolled in Kindle Unlimited (KU). It will also be enrolled in the Kindle Owners’ Lending Library (KOLL), which is currently available to Amazon Prime customers in the U.S., UK, Germany, France, and Japan.

To be included in Kindle Unlimited (KU), you must meet the KDP Select requirements and enroll your book in KDP Select. Learn how to enroll. If you plan to run a Kindle Countdown Deal once you're enrolled in KDP Select, the price of your book must not change for 30 days, even if you renew your KDP Select enrollment during that time.

If you do not want your book(s) in KU, you have the option to remove your book from KDP Select at the end of your enrollment by going to your Bookshelf, clicking the ellipsis button ("...") under the Book Actions menu next to your book, and selecting "KDP Select Information." Then, uncheck the box next to "Automatically renew this book's enrollment in KDP Select for another 90 days."

How customers get your book
When customers subscribe to KU and search the Kindle Store for Kindle books, they'll see a badge next to your KDP Select-enrolled book indicating the book is available in KU. They can also visit Amazon's Kindle Unlimited page and see available books there.

You'll receive a share of the KDP Select Global Fund as individual customers read pages in your book for the first time.
