Tormund Giantsbane will temporarily step down from leading wildlings on Game of Thrones to play some kind of "evil henchman" in the next film in the Fast & Furious franchise, according to Entertainment Weekly. Kristofer Hivju has been cast in the eighth film (no title yet) to assist the main baddie (not cast yet, though it's rumored it will be a woman -- possibly Charlize Theron). Many of the Furious 7 cast will return, so a Vin Diesel/Tormund or The Rock/Tormund fight is very much a possibility. The film will be directed by F. Gary Gray (who is currently, according to his Twitter timeline, location scouting for the movie in Cuba), and is scheduled to be released on April 14, 2017. The sixth season of Game of Thrones, of course, premieres on April 24. »
