minus 2 ev better low light focus acquisition .... an insane level of improvement ... faster af in general ... improved menus .. and a full electronic shutter system up to 1\ 32,000 th sec speed [ it previously had only mechanical shutter ] and have a dozen other additions [ not improvements additions ] thats astounding and an order of magnitude better than anyone out there making cameras .....check ya facts

Well at least Fuji's updates a free and software based. Sony tends to expect you to just buy another camera while Nikon and Canon just stare into the horizon.

I'm quite aware of how complex a digital camera is. I also do not expect there never to be a flaw that needs correcting on release but that is not what I said - at all.

There is a distinct shift to a RERO model - that is release early, release often. Rather than alpha, beta, RC then release. It's spiled over from the devops world into software and into manufacturing.

My wish of that changing is unrealistic - it's more cost effective and consumers like the ones commenting above dont seem to mind with more flaws and requiring more updates on release than a product that went through a more thorough release cycle.

RERO is a model that fits budgets for companies that are more stretched. It's also easy to spin as a value add.

If it is as specialized as Fuji bodies, most likely yes.

the good thing about phone is they are connected to data. Cameras are not and most people don't do a firmware update (download and put on an sd card) or know how too. Fuji is more niche and has fewer user so they might, but nikon canon mass users won't.
