Per our sister site Deadline, the cable network landed the high-profile drama in a very competitive situation, giving it an eight-episode straight-to-series order.

The story follows a reporter, Camille Preaker (played by Adams), as she faces a troubling assignment immediately following a stint at a psych hospital: to return to her hometown to cover the murders of two preteen girls. »

Performer of the Week: Allison Williams

The Performer | Allison Williams

The Show | Girls

The Episode | “The Panic in Central Park” (March 27, 2016)

The Performance | Girls‘ Marnie Michaels is privileged, selfish and maddeningly self-absorbed. But Allison Williams’ deft, multi-layered performance in last Sunday’s episode — one that focused entirely on her character — reminded us Marnie is also wickedly entertaining and sometimes achingly lost.

The opening three-quarters of “The Panic in Central Park” played like a deluded fairy tale for Marnie, as she stormed out of her apartment after a fight with husband Desi, bumped into ex-boyfriend Charlie and embarked on an adventure littered with red flags and warning signals. »

The Walking Dead Countdown: 10 Most Killer Deaths of Season 6

We know that somebody’s going to buy the farm in Sunday’s supersized sixth season finale of The Walking Dead (9/8c, AMC). We know it as well as we know that, to kill a walker, you have to aim for the head.

We also know that this one’s going to hurt. Norman Reedus (Daryl) was even kind enough to warn us that the episode is “gut-wrenching.” (Note to self: Keep the barf bucket handy as well as the Kleenex.)

Sleepy Hollow Recap: Say It Ain't So!

There’s a bunch of important season-finale lead-up in this week’s Sleepy Hollow, but you’ll forgive me if all I can focus on is the seemingly senseless killing of a member of Ichabod and Abbie’s army.

As you might’ve heard by now, Joe Corbin is struck down toward the end of Friday’s episode — by Jenny (!), which we’ll get to in a moment — and suffers a noble, if naked, death on New York’s Bear Mountain.

Yes, dramas need stakes. Yes, it’s naïve to think that a literal battle to save the world won’t have casualties. »

Sleepy Hollow Star Confirms Series Exit

Warning: This post contains a major spoiler for Friday’s Sleepy Hollow.

The member of the Sleepy Hollow ensemble who appeared to have died in Friday’s episode really did, says the actor who played him: Joe Corbin is no longer of this world, and portrayer Zach Appelman is no longer with the Fox supernatural drama.

Update: Late Friday, a Fox rep told TVLine that Episode 17 is not Appelman’s last episode of the season, implying he will appear in some form in next week’s finale.

The actor confirmed his departure from the series with a tweet after the »

Vampire Diaries Recap: Already Gone

Ian Somerhalder wasn’t kidding when he promised a double dose of death on Friday’s Vampire Diaries.

PhotosThe Originals Crossover: Matt Greets the Mikaelsons in Mystic Falls

Sadly, this week’s episode bid adieu to everyone’s favorite heretic couple; with the Armory’s poison running through Mary Louise’s veins and Nora freshly marked with one of Rayna’s trademark tats, the ladies used their final moments on Earth to blow up the hell stone — and themselves along with it. (Their deaths would have been sad enough, but Nora had to go ahead and recite their favorite poem, »

Outlander Season 2: Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan Dish About Claire's New Enemy, the Sex Scene They 'Fought For'

1 April 2016 2:12 PM, PDT

Sam Heughan missed his kilt.

The longing is understandable. After all, the Outlander star spent most of the Starz drama’s first season running around the Scottish highlands in Jamie Fraser’s airy ensemble, and those kind of threads can grow on a guy.

Season 2, which premieres April 9 (9/8c), plucks Jamie and his time-traveling wife Claire from Scotland’s rough countryside and sets them down in Paris, where they’ll work to thwart a royal-wannabe’s doomed play for the British throne.
