A Message from MBA Program Director
Welcome to the Master of Business Administration (MBA) Program of the College of Business at the Delaware State University. Delaware State University’s MBA program is AACSB accredited and has been recognized by The Princeton Review’s “Best 295 Business Schools” award. We offer a variety of concentrations to our students designed to provide them with the business-management skills, tools, and expertise which will enable them become leaders in their industry. Our program provides students with industry-specific knowledge through a core curriculum and diverse concentrations taught by passionate and committed faculty members. Master of Business Administration (MBA) Program
The Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree program is designed for working professionals and aspiring managers coming from a wide range of backgrounds who wish to advance their careers or acquire knowledge and skills necessary to succeed as leaders in the new economy. Candidates will learn to integrate and apply state-of-the-art business and organizational concepts and techniques in the functional areas of organizational management. Our program is flexible and designed to accommodate both full-time and part-time working professional and accelerated students. MBA candidates pursuing the full-time accelerated program can complete their degree in 12 months by taking three courses (9 credit hours) per term*, while regular full-time students can complete the program over an 18-month period by taking two courses per term. Those interested in part-time study can complete the degree requirements within two years by attending at least one summer session. Throughout the year MBA classes are offered during the evening hours and weekends.
*MBA classes are offered in 8-week terms where classes meet once a week from Monday through Thursday; weekend classes meet once a week on Fridays or Saturdays.
Application Process
To be considered for admission to the College of Business MBA program applicants must submit: (1) A completed Graduate Application form; (2) Official transcripts of all previous undergraduate and graduate work; (3) Official Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) score record**; (4) Two letters of recommendation completed by persons acquainted with the applicant’s ability for graduate study; (5) Resume or Curriculum Vitae; and (6) A written Personal Statement of the applicants' professional philosophy, educational objectives, and career aspirations.
**Applicants with GRE or GMAT scores will be reviewed by the Graduate Committee.
