Admission with Credit

Credit Calculator

Your previous studies and experience may mean you are eligible for credit towards your course at the University of Melbourne.

Undergraduate

If you have completed post-secondary level studies, want to transfer to the University of Melbourne, or have completed Higher Education Studies in the VCE (HES) or a Higher Education Scored Study (HESS), you may be eligible for credit towards your studies at the University of Melbourne.

  • How it works

Learning that you have successfully completed at a similar level and standard, which is equivalent in content to studies within a University of Melbourne course, can be used for credit towards your degree.

You’ll need to meet course entry requirements, and there will be limits to the amount and type of credit you could receive.

The credit granted may reduce the amount of study you need to complete, or exempt you from (repeating) some subject content. For some designated programs of study, we've already worked out what credit you would be eligible for to help you with your study planning and admission to our undergraduate courses.

Assessed CAP subjects successfully completed at the University before admission may also qualify for credit towards your undergraduate course.
