So I wanted to pass this along incase anyone runs into this issue.
So after a nature shoot, I got home then started to clean my camera. My telephoto lens was still attached and my aperture at 8.0.
I looked through the EVF and notice a flickering "hot" pixel on the EVF. I pulled the camera away from my eye, angry as hell, and there it was... on the LCD too!!! But when I pressed the shutter halfway the pixel disappeared. Even more confused now.
I first tried cleaning the sensor and my lens and no luck. Still flickering like a star in a night sky. Did some googling and found this solution. It actually worked and there are ZERO hot pixels now. Unbelievable. Wanted to pass this solution on.
Set the date/time settings forward 2 months.
Confirm the setting.
Turn the camera off and wait 5 seconds.
You will hear one click, then a few seconds later the shutter clicks. From what I read, it remaps the sensor.
Turn on the camera... now all pixels are gone!!!
Amazing!!!!!!!!
