Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)- Action | Adventure | Fantasy | Sci-Fi
Fearing the actions of Superman are left unchecked, Batman takes on the man of steel, while the world wrestles with what kind of a hero it really needs. With Batman and Superman fighting each other, a new threat, Doomsday, is created by Lex Luthor. It's up to Superman and Batman to set aside their differences along with Wonder Woman to stop Lex Luthor and Doomsday from destroying Metropolis.

The Buzz: It feels like Zack Snyder took all the Man of Steel fan feedback and forged an even more sober and brutal sequel, one that sets up his Justice League movies and effectively introduces Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. BVS is far from perfect, its aggressiveness is admirable, and we can see why Ben Affleck won't let his son see it until he's older.
My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 (2016)- Comedy | Romance
A Portokalos family secret brings the beloved characters back together for an even bigger and Greeker wedding.
Director:Kirk Jones |

The Buzz: It's fair to say that no movie since My Big Fat Greek Wedding has experienced the same degree of word-of-mouth success, and there's no expectation for the sequel, which arrives 14 years later -- the romantic comedy equivalent of Zoolander 2 -- to break or create any sort of box-office record this spring. Negative reviews won't sway the core audience from seeing the movie, it's just a matter of when and how they decide to view it; we're sure Universal is banking on overseas box office receipts and streaming tallies here at home. Meanwhile, most of us are looking forward to more from Aunt Voula.
I Saw the Light (2015) - [Limited]- Biography | Drama | Music
The story of the country-western singer Hank Williams, who in his brief life created one of the greatest bodies of work in American music. The film chronicles his rise to fame and its tragic effect on his health and personal life.
Director:Marc Abraham |

The Buzz: We were a little confused when we saw only fair-to-negative reviews of I Saw the Light since its debut at the Toronto International Film Festival last year. Nearly every critic addresses the screenplay first, then the direction -- both of which were handled by producer-turned-filmmaker Marc Abraham. There's always a lot of trade talk about how difficult it is for screenwriters to become directors; when it comes to producers, that tends to be a bad idea in general. As you might expected, people love Tom Hiddleston's portrayal of Hank Williams, and audiences have been even more entranced by Elizabeth Olsen as his first wife, Audrey Mae.
Born to Be Blue (2015) - [Limited]- Biography | Drama | Music
A re-imagining of jazz legend Chet Baker's musical comeback in the late '60s.
Director:Robert Budreau |
|

The Buzz: Thanks to lively direction by Robert Budreau (who should see his profile rise) and an Ethan Hawke performance that has been called one of his best to date, their take on the comeback of Chet Baker, which has been flying way under the radar in comparison to I Saw the Light, might turn out to be the winner of this unexpected competition between musical biographies.
They're Watching (2016) - [Limited]- Comedy | Horror | Thriller
An American TV crew gets trapped in a centuries-old web of revenge, horror, and blood, when their home improvement show is attacked by angry Eastern European villagers out to kill the show's star.

The Buzz: So many indie horror comedies come and go with no fanfare, what makes They're Watching stand out initially is the cache of its filmmaking duo; writer/directors Jay Lender and Micah Wright have an impressive background in a number of top animation shows and video games, where they worked as writers and storyboard artists. Together it looks like they've created a familiar looking horror scenario that goes into unexpected territory. Our eyes are on veteran TV actress Brigid Brannagh, who plays an American expat who thinks she's found her dream artist cottage in Moldova.
