I wouldn't have sold my stuff before using a Nikon camera. Gone is the Main Mode dial (used by almost every other manufacturer) replaced by the clunky Release Mode Dial. Makes no sense to me.

This is a pretty safe guess since this is a Photokina year. Gosh I hope Canon produces a sensor everyone will like. Otherwise, it will be pretty miserable up in here for a long while.
