In its marketing material Lenovo describes the VIBE Shot as a camera smartphone crossover device. This might be a slight exaggeration as the VIBE Shot neither features a zoom lens nor a xenon flash. Nevertheless, it looks like a promising option for mobile photographers. It pairs a 16MP BSI CMOS sensor with 16:9 aspect ratio with a 6-element lens and an optical image stabilization system. Other camera specific functions include an infrared-assisted AF system for faster speed and a tri-color flash that allows for better color balance when shooting with flash in mixed light situations. Physical controls include a dedicated camera shutter button and little slider that allows you to switch between the Full Auto and Pro modes in the camera app. The latter mode gives you manual control over a range of shooting parameters including shutter speed. The front camera comes with an unusually high 8MP resolution and other specifications include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, 3GB of RAM and a 5.1-inch 1080p IPS display. Like previous Lenovo high-end models the VIBE Shot comes with a metal frame and looks and feels very much like a premium device. Product timeline
