While replacing a furnace at the DoD high school at the Marine Corps Base, Quantico, Virginia, workers find a smoked and preserved body inside the chimney; Gibbs and company investigate. Ducky has trouble with the time of death, and Abby has trouble with the fingerprints. Tobias shows interest in the victim, who, he says, was a serial killer; Gibbs and Tobias make a deal; they visit the widow, and the gang execute a search warrant. Tony sees Jeanne again, and Abby sees Marty again. Marty helps Abby, who tells Gibbs, who tells Fornell. Gibbs and Fornell confront the real serial killer. McGee takes much heat from his co-workers about his novel. Written by DocRushing
I have watched a lot of TV in my life, and NCIS is one of my very favorite series. I love the stories and the humor and the characters. It's fun to occasionally catch the more or less "inside jokes" that very young people may not recognize, such as the references to "St. Elsewhere" or to Mark Harmon being a pro football quarterback in the past.
"Smoked" is one of my favorite NCIS episodes because the plot is good, there is humor, and especially because it has one of the sweetest love scenes I have ever seen. I'm referring to the love scene between Tony and Jean. It was absolutely perfect. It was romantic, sweet, innocent, touching, happy, and made me break out in a huge smile. This scene had such a genuine feel to it that I believe it was the most enjoyable scene I've viewed on TV in quite a while. Does anybody know who was singing "Falling in Love" in that scene? The music was a part of what made the scene so perfect. I would love to have this recording.
Hope you enjoy this episode as much as I have.
