Seeing Kirk and Candace (brother and sister in real life) acting together, and being related, is pretty cool. In this episode, Kirk plays a cousin whom D. J. hadn't seen in a while. He obviously never went to his aunt's funeral since he'd never met Michelle. He was going through a rough time since his folks were breaking up.
But D. J. was feeling his growing pains. He was no longer the cousin who wanted to hang with her. Now, he wanted to hang with the men instead. Of course, a person like D. J. had trouble accepting his changed personality. But in the end, they became friends.
It was great seeing these two together!
