Is x-trans starting to strut its stuff?

Now that we have some samples from the Sony a6300 and Canon 80D and Pen F, I gotta say I'm pretty pleased to have Fuji as one of my two systems.

While I don't think the new 24MP sensor is breaking any new ground in DR or luminescence noise I am noticing two things with the resolution jump:

1) A lot of moire free detail which remains present until very high ISO (at least 6400). Pretty much on par with the best in class d7200 minus some moire. And there is also great APS-C glass to take advantage of this with Fuji.

2) A relative paucity of chroma noise. I think it's the APS-C leader here.

I can't help but think that the oft maligned x-trans CFA has something to do with this.

Thoughts?
