Yes, of course Sony is going to improve on it with the next iteration. Look at the ii models compared to the original. They were all slightly redesigned with noticeable changes eg. deeper grip, ...

This isnt a replacement of the G7. If you were set on a dslr style body, why would you be after a rangefinder style?
-
The Lx100 lens isnt a pancake. It extends into the body. You cant have an interchangeable version and expect it to be a pancake. It doesnt work like that.
-
Insecure much? This is not designed to replace the GX? line.
-
The light one is slightly better to read, but I much prefer the original black one. It's what makes dpreview unique.

"Interestingly this lens comes in at about the same price as the Sigma DN 30/1.4. I'd rather get the Sigma." I didn't know the Sigma 30/1.4 was an FE lens.
-
What are you on about? Nikon doesn't make any FF mirrorless lenses. Sigma also doesn't make a FF mirrorless 50mm lens and neither does Sigma.
-
At the price point I expected a little more.
-
About time. Sony needs some serious competition to force them to make some cheaper entry level FF bodies and more budget FE lenses. Theyve been getting away with milking the premium concept for too...

Lens IS is generally more effective than body IBIS. But Sony combines both systems together anymore to be more effective than just lens IS alone.

Cool story bro. what did you eat for breakfast?

Does the 50/1.8 have a rubber mf ring like the FE 28-70 or a smooth plastic/metal ring like the FE 28/2?
-
Of course the 55mm 1.8 will beat it, its 4x the price. But the 50mm 1.8 should be about 95% as good and already way more than most people need. For most its not worth the steep price/quality ...

All emount lenses have silent focus, even the cheap apsc ones like the 16/2.8 pancake. thats definitely one of the big advantage of emount.
-
Canon and even Minolta had the inexpensive but good 35/2. Its clearly possible. However Sony wont release it for awhile longer to milk as much as they can from the current 35/2.8 and 35/1.4 options.
-
But m43 and Fuji still have one huge important advantage: budget bodies.
-
They already updated the 16/2.8 with the 20/2.8.
-
I reckon Fujifilm intentionally puts these bugs in so they can release more firmware updates and people will think they are cutting edge and up to date because they are always “supporting” their...

Obviously A-Mount. This is a DSLR lens.

You need new hardware for the a7/a6000. They are too old now.
Activity older than 12 months is not displayed.
