And you are right to ask about the camera getting in,,,that was the most challenging part.
The shot was taken from a suite/box, so I had some chairs and railings to brace against.
To get the D3 and Zeiss 100/2 in, I separated the lens from the camera. put the camera under the zip out lining of my jacket, and the lens in my coat pocket. There were no metal detectors there, and the camera policy stated that lenses under 3" in length were OK, though I didn't want to chance having a ticket taker second guessing the policy!
