It is impossible to rate this watch with less than 5 starts. Based on the price and quality, definitely 5 stars!

Pros:
+ Perfect size (at least for my taste)
+ Great design
+ Great color combination (gray and blue)
+ Great price and quality
+ LED light interesting

Cons:
- Strap could have been a bit better (more sturdy)
- LED light is not that powerful and could make it difficult to see the time in low light

Overall, I highly recommend this watch!

I don't know what people are complaining about. This is by far the best looking watch I have, and I would recommend it to anyone. Went out with the mates today, and they all want a G-Shock now. The digital screen is easy to read (Not as bright as it is shown in the pictures, but easy to see none-the-less). I will try to upload some more pictures, so you get a better idea of how this really looks. Overall I'm over the moon with this purchase. Highly recommend.

This watch is not without it's design flaws. Other reviewers have pointed out that the digital displays are difficult to read, but I have found that in normal lighting conditions simply looking at the watch at a slight angle rather than straight on makes them easy to use. However, you'll never get away from the fact that you can't read them if the analogue hands happen to be in the way.......

My main complaint is the light however, which is very poor. It is simply an LED at the bottom of the watch face, at approximately the same depth under the glass as the hands. Since there is no reflective or luminous paint, the light is next to useless most of the time - it's not high enough to front-light the hands, nor deep enough to back-light them. It also utterly fails to make the digital displays readable. A back-light would have been so much more effective, and come on Casio, a stylish blue and black watch face and you give us an orange LED? - would it have been so hard to use a blue one?

With all that said, the watch looks great in my opinion, and has a useful set of functions. I also saw it on play.com for £100 more than on Amazon. At this price tag, it is therefore still good value, just so long as you don't need a timepiece that you can use in the dark.

been wanting one of these for ages... finally had the money to buy it.... when it arrived earlier than the estimated delivery i was ecstatic, the watch was a little complicated to set up but easy once you get the hang of it and it's so comfy and light on the wrist. i would definitely get one of these again, the seller was great too and kept me up to date with shipping details as well as the updates from Amazon.....

I bought this watch about a week ago and I can't pick a fault with it. Great quality great design and it may look complex to function but when you get the hang of it it's easier than you think. Another thing I like about it is the colour of the watch, it has a Matt black strap and electric blue hands. I highly recommend this watch to anyone out there that is looking for a good sturdy G-Shock watch. Amazing.

I was looking forward very much to the delivery of this watch,my first Gshock, however I was a little disappointed when it arrived. The image shown on the Amazon website depicts a white on black LCD display, had I bought this watch from another well known internet retailer I think I would have had a fair case to complain on the grounds of " not as described".the LCD is actually dark blue with fractionally lighter blue digits

This watch was bought very much on its appearance, mainly the blue markings which looked very impressive. In bright daylight and at the right angle the display is very visible. However held at the wrong angle or in poor light, reading any of the display including the analogue pointers becomes near impossible. Sadly this is not helped by the "golden" LED light.

Should you want the cachet of a Gshock which looks very impressive, this watch fits the bill. It is light and comfortable to wear and certainly has presence. However if you are buying the watch for the all round usability normally associated with the brand, this may not be the model for you. Very much a case of form over function. Had the watch had luminous pointers and a backlit LCD it would have been absolutely faultless. Maybe this is a clever marketing ploy by Casio to make you want to carry on to buy one of their more expensive models!

The watch details are not white like in the picture. They do not highlight and cannot be seen . I have tried finding a way to see the numbers using the manual but to no avail. Any ideas as the watch is unusable currently and as it was a Christmas ' present ' I am embarrassed as I bought it 29th October and told 1st November is the date Christmas items can be swapped. Very disappointed

This watch really looks the part, it's chunky, stylish, looks good both on and off the wrist and has an analogue and digital display. This is a good watch but Casio have really let themselves down with this time piece by neglecting some basic stuff. A little bit more attention to detail and tlc could have turned a good watch into a great watch.

First off, the digital display isn't lit and is very difficult to see no matter what light you're in. Don't let the pictures fool you, the digital display is dull and doesn't illuminate when you light the face up. Also, when the hands tick over either display they block them completely and you can't see what's on the tiny screen. Makes the whole digital feature a bit pointless really.

The minute/hour hands aren't luminous, which makes it a little annoying in darker lights when you can't see the time. Not an imperative feature, but it would have been a nice touch. I've had cheaper everyday watches before that have had this as standard.

But the biggest problem for me was the light. A cheap orange LED that fails to light up the whole face, you find yourself squinting to see where the minute/hour hands are and as previously mentioned the digital display doesn't illuminate (you wouldn't even know it had one when you light it up in the dark). Within seconds the light has gone off and you're none the wiser as to the what time it is. My eyesight is pretty good but I had trouble seeing the time when using the light. I do a lot of night working so it's crucial for me to have a watch with a decent light so I can actually see what time it is.

This is all standard stuff really and I felt let down that such a good looking piece didn't match up to how I expected it to.Read more ›
