The project will be a modern-day re-imagining of the original 1985 TV series, featuring a much younger protagonist.

The plot will follow a "twentysomething" Angus MacGyver, who is recruited into the clandestine organization from the original series, known as the Department of External Services (Dxs). The title character uses his unique skill set for solving problems with bizarre and unconventional methods, to help prevent disasters before they happen. The initial report from October revealed that producers wanted the new MacGyver to be roughly 10 years younger than Richard Dean Anderson was on the original MacGyver series, with »

NCIS: Los Angeles Review: The Innocence of Children

It’s not something we like to talk about, but we can’t deny the horrible growth of child soldiers in the world. This week’s case on NCIS: Los Angeles is a particularly emotional story as the team works to save a brainwashed 11-year old, and that’s not even the most shocking moment of the hour for two members of the team in particular. The Osp team is called to investigate when an 11-year old child is killed in Pershing Square. He and his twin were wearing suicide vests and trying to get away from al-Qaeda terrorists. Everybody has their opinion on everything this week on Jane the Virgin. Comments ranged from Jane not being good enough to Rafael’s brother being genuine. Everyone is subjective though, so it was up to the characters to decide what they were and weren’t willing to handle. With Jane’s wedding coming up, every detail needs to be perfect. Jane is really hoping to work out details like the seating chart, not Michael’s disapproving parents. Usually they can’t stand each other, but now they are united in a common goal, interrogating Jane. After Jane broke Michael’s heart last year, they don’t want

After tonight’s guest Jake Gyllenhaal spoke to Jimmy about his new film Demolition and all the failed auditions leading up to this point in his career, the two started to reminisce about their time on their “hit show” from the 80s, Point Pleasant Police Department. ComScore Teams With Adobe In Media-Measurement Battle

4 hours ago | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

ComScore may have moved another inch in its effort to dominate the media industry’s yardstick.

ComScore, which in recent months has become more aggressive in its bid to unseat Nielsen as the predominant arbiter of measuring audiences around media content,  said it will tap new metrics from software and analytics firm Adobe Systems. The effort is aimed at helping to measure consumption of video content across multiple screens, ranging from TVs to tablets.

“When people look at their audiences, they don’t have the entirety of the viewership,” said Manish Bhatia, chief product officer of ComScore, in an interview. “TV comes from one place. Ott comes from another,” he said, referring to so-called “over the top” content viewing that is done with streaming video and a broadband connection. “How many people are you reaching? It’s a basic question, but it becomes a very hard question for media companies to answer. »

Supergirl Season 1 Episode 17 Review: ”Manhunter”

After revealing himself as an alien, this week’s Supergirl deals directly with J’onn J’onzz being interrogated by the military as we finally learn what happened the day when the real Hank Henshaw came for J’onn. David Harewood has been one of the show’s strongest players and this week’s episode was another great example of why and also why he is perfect for this character. The backstory was, as expected, heartbreaking as we see how cruel and awful the real Hank was as a person. While the flashbacks of how J’onn became Hank wasn’t as long as I expected, we got

‘Better Call Saul’ Writer Breaks Down The Latest ‘Breaking Bad’ Connection

5 hours ago | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

Spoiler alert: The following interview includes plot details from “Better Call Saul” season 2, episode 6, titled “Bali Ha’i.”

Better Call Saul” is looking a lot like “Breaking Bad” lately. After Mark Margolis reprised his Emmy-nominated role of don Hector Salamanca last week, he continues the story in “Bali Ha’i” and brings his menacing twin nephews — better known as “The Cousins” — with him. Played by twins Daniel and Luis Moncada, the Cousins (a.k.a. Leonel and Marco Salamanca) were lethal enforcers in Season 3 of “Bad,” before meeting their dramatic demise at the hands of Hank Schrader. Now we get to see their origins in the “Saul” timeline (which is taking place about six or seven years prior to the start of “Breaking Bad”), as they threaten to make Mike’s (Jonathan Banks) life miserable, unless he gives in to Hector’s demands.

Pacing on Blindspot lately has been pretty fantastic, and the expansion of the story has been great to watch as Jane’s paths have finally begun to really diverge. It’s pretty clear that he isn’t able to make a real emotional attachment with anyone else yet, though, as Jane always seems to be on his mind. She’s on the minds of the
