“Downton Abbey” had one of the better theme songs on television, just with one glaring omission: lyrics.

John Legend took care of that Monday on “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” when the Grammy winner added words to the tune, one night after the series wrapped up on U.S. airwaves.

“Everyone we know is very white/We don’t have one black friend,” the funny remix began.

Later, Legend opines that the Dowager Countess of Grantham — played by Maggie Smith — “needs to get laid.”

The best lyric, however, may have been this one at the very end: “Edith is such a loser, why won’t she just die?”

  • Opening for Mary J. Blige, Rose McGowan sang live, singing “For You Only,” which she also wrote, at Derek Anderson’s (center) Casa Reale fine jewelry launch party at The Box in NYC on Tuesday night. 

  • Guests sipped Ilegal Mescal cocktails. McGowan went "Roman emperor".

  • Fuck Cancer Co-Founder and honoree Yael Cohen (right) took a break from new baby duties to celebrate her pick as one of the #Social25 with husband Scooter Braun at the 41 Ocean Club on Monday night.

  • Host and curator of the #Social25 honors Shira Lazar (What's Trending) and social media stars Bart Baker, Brittany Furlan, Alx James and Kate Ulbrecht (Mr. Kate) put down their phones for a little photo opp.

  • They flew in BBQ from Kansas City to North Hollywood for the Lycos Life Project party on Monday night. Greg Grunberg, Adrian Pasdar had Natalie Maines' son as the opening act for their "Band from TV".

  • "Downton Abbey" creator and writer Julian Fellowes told a crowd at the Writers Guild Theater on Saturday afternoon that he has not yet finished the series finale script. He is currently working on the second draft.

  • "Downton" Executive Producer Gareth Neame stuck around in town for BAFTA LA's Garden Party and hat contest in British Consul General's Backyard in Hancock partk on Sunday: Neame, BAFTA LA CEO Chantal Rickards, and O'Connor. Stephanie Ancell (top middle) won the hat contest.

  • On Saturday night, Kristen Bell and Max Greenfield took the stage at the Chrysalis Butterfly Ball.

  • Aloe Blacc performed at Susan Harris and Hayward Kaiser's Mandeville Canyon home, which added on to the $10 million that Chrysalis has raised. The org works to create a path to self-sufficiency for homeless and low income individuals

  • The sociable Richard Weitz was a co-host.

  • Everyone with anything to do with "Entourage" got in on the massive promotion this week. Starting on Sunday night, Haley Joel Osment turned up for Adrien Grenier's Angeleno magazine cover party at the Argyle.

  • "I have never graced a cover before, and now I play a movie star in a movie, so I may as well start acting like one," Grenier told the crowd.

  • The real studio boss, Warner Bros. President Worldwide Marketing President Sue Kroll got in on the act, accepting a Women In Film/Tiffany honor in Beverly Hills on Wednesday night.

  • Maria Bello, Kroll, WIF President Cathy Schulman, and Angie Harmon.

  • Meanwhile at Siren Studios, some of the boys activated the live part of a co-promotion they did with Johnnie Walker tied to Johnny Drama. Kevin Connolly (left) screened the branded featurette he directed.

  • Mrs. Ari (Perrey Reeves) hit the Serapian Milano boutique opening in Beverly Hills with boutique party regular Cameron Silver. 

  • Back in L.A., it was time for Talent Manager awards. This could loosely be interpreted as "Entourage-adjacent". Vivica A. Fox presented to Yasmine Pearl at the  TMA 2015 Heller Awards.

  • Jason Derulo had a non-"Entourage" release this week, his album. He appeared as a guest judge on "So You Think You Can Dance" and threw a party at Up & Down in NYC.

  • Geena Davis and Piers Morgan in the British Consul General's backyard for the Astley Clarke summer reception on Wednesday night.

  • Mini Driver and Bec Astley Clarke straps up Minnie Driver with some new jewels.

  • Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster sign in at the Astley Clarke party.

  • A casting director scouted first time actor Felix de Givry (left) on the street in Paris and cast him as Sven Hansen-Love (right), an influential DJ from the 1990s French House/Garage scene in "Eden".   • Riders rode 100 miles and raised $800,000 to send kids from South Central L.A. to area camps via the Harold Robinson Foundation.

  • Vin & Lin: Vin Diesel came front and center to support "Fast & Furious 6" director Justin Lin as he notched his hands in cement at the TCL Chinese Theatre on Wednesday.

  • 1,000 consumer contest winners got surprises like Snoop, DJ lessons from superstar DJs, Diplo, Ronda Rousey (Hey, she's in "Entourage") and more during the weekend getaway.

  • Elliphant performed for the beer soaked masses...

  • ...who came parading in off the ferries.

  • T-Pain didn't "Buy U A Drank". Bud Light did. For everyone. All weekend.

  • Hitfix is calling Grace's "You Don't Own Me" featuring this guy, G-Eazy, the "song of the summer."

  • Country was not barred from the island: Kip Moore took the stage on Saturday.
