    My mother was a pioneering breast cancer researcher and I learned from her just how important it is to lift up and empower women and girls in science, who are often underrepresented there and in other STEM fields.

    With academic conferences happening online in 2020-2021, it is less impossible for our disabled colleagues to participate. The usual way of doing things is inaccessible. Exceptions only prove the rule. Time to make our temporarily accessible communities permanently accessible.
