Complex.Sinh Method

Returns the hyperbolic sine of the specified complex number.

Namespace:  System.Numerics
Assembly:  System.Numerics (in System.Numerics.dll)

public static Complex Sinh(
	Complex value
)

Parameters

value
Type: System.Numerics.Complex
A complex number.

Return Value

Type: System.Numerics.Complex
The hyperbolic sine of value.

The Sinh method for complex numbers corresponds to the Math.Sinh method for real numbers.

The Sinh method uses the following formula to calculate the hyperbolic sine of the complex number a + bi:

(Sinh(a) * Cos(b), Cosh(a) * Sin(b))
