I tried a Yashica ML lens on a Pentax ZX-5 body. I could not get the lens to fit into the body. After seeing your photo, I tried again, and I discovered the reason I could not do it. The aperture coupling cam of the ZX-5 body prevents the Yashica lens from being inserted into the body. Since the Pentax DSLR cameras have the crippled K mount, the aperture coupling cam is absent, so the lens can indeed be inserted into the camera body.
Here is a web site that shows how to convert a Contax/Yashica lens so it will mount securely on a K mount body:

It is in Japanese but the illustrations are excellent.

I have also found a website which shows how to modify the K mount to
fully accept a C/Y lens and still allow full use of K mount lenses.
I'll post the link tonight when I get home.-- hide signature --
