The bitterness between camera brand fanboys make ISIS look soft...

Going downhill? The D750 is outstanding.
-
Least versatile but by far and away the best image quality. So you have to decide what is important - a zoom or medium format quality in a camera than can be carried in a small bag.
-
bugsy46 - you're right. All those 100,000s of pros around the world who use Canon - which dominates at sports and news events and with pros generally - are just sheep. And I don't even own a Canon.
-
I used to be a Canon user for decades but switched to the Nikon D750 last year. I don't regret it, but I will say that no other manufacturer makes their camera bodies look as good as Canon. The...

Weird. So you are ditching a camera system because of video capabilities?
-
Quattro produces medium format quality images, so clearly sensor size is irrelevant.
-
And can we get rid of the Agfa, Casio, Kodak, Konica Minolta, and Lytro from the Camera drop down menu. When you haven't issued a camera in years or have been taken over by another manufacturer...

1. I applaud Sigma's desire to think out of the box and challenge photographic paradigms. 2. The DP Merrill cameras, though slow and painful, produced unbelievably sharp, medium format quality,...
-
abortabort - perhaps you need lessons in comprehension. The original poster said the camera was 11 years too late, the implication being that this should/could have been brought out 11 years ago....
-
I expect the comments soon to be dominated by naysayers who have never use a Pentax, are not the target market but who think this is dead technology and mirrorless is the only way to go and their...

Such wit. Name the camera that was like this 11 years ago. And don't say the Canon 5D as I had one and this is clearly superior.
-
I bought a DP1M and a DP2M when the price halved. I just wish I had got the DP3M as now it has rocketed in price. The DP3Q, while odd looking, might be worth waiting for if it drops in price,...

add the Quattro to the studio display and the images are crisper and sharper than anything else comparable.
-
True. But for studio work, tripod work, landscapes, portraits etc - there is nothing to match the Foveon sensor. Look at the coins on the 20 Schilling note - the Quattro looks 3d with the coins...
-
As I have said elsewhere, how does this explain why the Sigma DP 2Q is sharper across the board at base ISO? The difference is light and day. In fact the Sigma looks better than every other camera...
-
Look at the hair of the man in the stencil / sketch. Who cares about ISO 3200 with the difference at base ISO?
-
Add the Sigma DP Quattro 2, look at the stencil of the people around the painting easel. Wow, the Sony looks terrible in comparison.
-
If it doesn't suit fixed wide angle cameras, why is it the Sigma DP Quattro 2 produces consistently sharper and more detailed shots across the board for significantly less money?
-
As usual DPR ignores the Sigma DP range of cameras when making comparisons. You could buy a Sigma DP 2 Quattro, have better image quality, and save thousands of pounds too. Seriously, go to the...
