The review doesn't say many good things about this phone's camera, but pictures are outstanding and not only because of your good eye, Lars, but technically too. Weird for me the review.

I just read a thread of posts complaining about the speed of Sony's tests versus other brands. They were harsh, and maybe not true, but not insulting. Then I refershed the page and the thread was...

Nice review but poor gallery that doesn't tell you much about the camera. Greyish cast in many of the photos too.

Photography has become a game for shadow catchers...

Thanks for the answer, Richard. Still, I don't see what makes RX10II, comparatevely speaking, such a golden workhouse. It has some clear drawbacks (and virtues). You talk about "part of the market"...

This thing about awards is a (fun) disaster (for the small dpreview community). I'm not saying xpro2 deserves or doesn't deserve gold, but Sony RX10II gets it, and D7200 or xpro2 don't? Come on.

And a Rhodes Fender piano is also a simulation of a mechanical piano, but did not prevent Chick Corea or Stevie Wonder from making art with it. Film is fine, simulation of film is also fine. The...

Blunt review. I'm not sure it's so because it's a blunt camera.

Only Pentax. You can use it with any manual lens k mount.

I have been critical about dpr galleries in the past, but I have to say that they are really improving. Not only because of sometimes shooting in good light places, but because of dpr staff work....

My real star is my 3 year old daughter, so I'm going to get this camera to astrotrace her around the skies. (She'll probably love that intriguing articulated screen too).

Another beautiful, interesting camera in this unbelievable parade: Olympus, Nikon, Pentax, Fuji, Leica, Canon, Panasonic, Sony, Sigma...

Sam, I can picture your endeavour. With all respect for Seattle, light there mostly sucks. Why not moving dpr to a sunnier place?
-
Seattle is just a terrible place to test cameras, most of time. No way around.

I agree with dpr view (don't know whether adding "for once"). These last weeks (and this last one particularly) have confronted two different ways of seeing photography: the enthousiastic...

Nice article BB. Interesting to see how dpr articles on Pentax have drifted from lampoon to serene respect. I like the drift.

All those companies make mirrorless cameras. But they consider them almost toy cameras, cameras for fun. Sony, Fuji, Olympus, Pana, Samsung? and Leica (this one in its intricate way) are into...

t seems to be a very solid proposition for photographers. It will last.

Anybody at some point get faulty copy of some piece of equipment. Even Leica payers. Time to move on that bad experience.
Activity older than 12 months is not displayed.
