Nice controls... ISO, exposure compensation, white balance. Apple and iPhone, I know you are not going to change, but it's worth considering...

Oh... the eternal Fujifilm problem. 2-4 month delay seems to be standard here. I don't see Fujifilm making any changes to the hardware at this point. There might be tweaks to the software, which...

This is serious video improvement over the previous 16mp x-trans! Great Fuji. Pleasantly surprised how it stands against Sony or Panasonic. Now if they can only deliver the camera as promised, on...

Motors break. Lenses will not be supported forever. Fewer motors (or none) is the only way, IMHO. Mount yes, but there is always an adapter. Motors, not that much. I am always more comfortable...

Ditch motors, or at least the focus by wire thing, and make them all mechanic. This should apply to all lens makers.
-
"forever"? ditch the focus by wire, typical, ALL lens makers. Do all mechanical. The only way to make them forever. The reality is, -this wire thing might break anytime. Might not be supported...

Something tells me we are going to see endless articles about cameras here.../

It would be useful to see photos of the camera as it sits next to other objects. Could be anything. Other cameras, phones, pencils, coffee cups etc. Best way to understand the actual size of...

Great to see the gps included. This should really be standard everywhere. But LOL at the bump design. Wasn't there really any other place to put it?

@Bhima78 - and no hand grip AT ALL? damn those leicas...

Why is this news everywhere? BBC picked it up. dpreview now... Too many news outlets, photo-related or not, are giving attention to this. Next thing we know the guy is a rockstar. Just like media...

I second that. Even more, some photographers are willing to sacrifice ergonomics, to some extent - for better look at better portability.

Cameras are toys, accept that. And we are amateurs doing this for fun. Unless you are a pro and make a living out of this. Which is really no more than 1% of us, really. So let's put away the...

Retro or not - this is irrelevant. I do appreciate Fujifilm and Olympus for joining Leica and understanding that quality design is a good selling point. "retro" is subjective, but what is...

What for? Why add bulk for no reason. It's light. I haven't heard anyone ditching Leica for lack of handgrip, even if they are a little heavier.
-
Yes. There are some facts/specs, but otherwise most of what we state here are opinions...

Jeff, great! Plastic with metal paint on top is not allright... This goes beyond personal preference or durability concerns. It's about being true to the material. The way to create a timeless...

The marketing photos definitely look sharp. Would it be fair to assume that all the silvery looking parts at exterior are indeed metal?
-
I would't call this "retro-styling". It's the "natural-styling" - because this is really the size and feel a camera should have. It happens to look retro, true. Well done, both Olympus and Fujifilm.

It's not. Their design is quite appealing. Probably the second reason I got into this brand.
