Yes. Totally agree with regos. The 18-55 gives you more versatility during the day. The f1.4 is great for nighttime, whether 35mm or 23mm.

Chill, man. Enjoy taking photos.

First, fantastic portfolio, Michael. You're a professional, I assume. Fujifilm suggests, and I concur, that if the person or object is moving towards or away from you then using single point in ...

From Fuji X-E2 to iPad Air 2, no problems transferring pics (jpegs, not RAW, of course). Someone above has set out the steps. You start the Fuji App, turn on Wi-Fi on the camera (by pressing the ...

Great pics. It's all about the light.

Yes. I find it faster and more accurate, esp. in low light. With v. 4 lowlight focusing is down from 2.5 EV to 0.5 EV, which makes a big difference.

If you need f1.4, then get the lens. You're getting more than DOUBLE the light at f1.4 than you get at f2.0, which for me is crucial in low-light handheld photography. It is also much faster to ...

The issue is it's too big, too expensive, and too Leica. All clear now?

The rest are fine but the scaffolding is totally distracting -- it draws the eye straight to it.

You might want to consider the X-E2. With Firmware 4.0 it's even better than it was and there are some terrific deals with the 18-55 "kit" lens. Throw in a 35mm f1.4 and you're all set.

The reason to own an f1.4 lens is to shoot it at f1.4 quite a lot of the time, which is what I do. Great in low-light situations and I'm very pleased with the results.

Moronic comment from Guidenet; there's a surprise.

Fuji made MAJOR improvements to cameras that were already very good. Calling cameras like the Fuji X-E2 "unfinished" is patent nonsense. Too bad Sony doesn't have the same philosophy of constant...

Does the firmware make it look less ugly?

I totally agree, darngood.

And yet good photographers can produce stunning results from Fuji jpegs. Maybe you're the bog standard component in the equation, boss.

My initial impression of Capture One Pro was -- WHOA! Interface looks like the space shuttle control panel! I did a Lynda.com short course on using Capture One Pro and now everything's great. One...

Fujifilm 35mm f1.4 is a classic. Of course if Fuji released a Mark II with faster AF and quiet focus mechanism I'd update, but only if the optics were as good/better.

Yes, you've read it wrong. Now go out and buy one.

I use my X-E2 (firmware v. 4) with my iPad Air 2 (iOS 9.2.1) and I find the Fuji app works flawlessly for controlling the camera, transferring jpegs to my iPad, etc.
