The actress has been cast as the female lead in ABC’s comedy pilot Speechless, TVLine has learned.
The potential series from writer Scott Silveri (Go On) centers on a family with a special-needs child. Driver will portray Maya, the overbearing mother who moves her family from town to town in an effort to find the right school for her non-verbal son, Jj.
