Europe's largest medical leadership event takes place in a month’s time in Edinburgh. This year’s FMLM annual conference on 15 and 16 October will focus on leadership and management themes which affect all doctors in the UK, whatever grade, specialism or professional experience. The conference will get off to a flying start with a practical and interactive education day on 14 October, with workstreams designed for clinicians at three different career stages: students and doctors in training, clinical practitioners and leader/managers.
The most influential champions of medical leadership in the UK will be speaking and leading sessions at the education day and conference, so don’t miss this opportunity to network, join the discussions and consolidate learning.

New online self management support resource centre
The Health Foundation has launched a new online self management support resource centre. The resource centre provides information and practical tools that can be adopted and adapted locally to enable services and health professionals to develop their own self management support programmes.
It builds on learning from the Health Foundation’s Co-creating Health programme and a wide range of national and international evidence. It’s a good starting point to learn more about what self management support is, how it can be implemented and the business case for commissioning.
