I've read it and I can't see what else you were trying to say in your original comment.
-
So just because it's "nothing new" you don't think there should be any new videos showing people how to do it?
-
Other photographers. They get in the way, criticise my gear, steal my ideas, all whilst acting like they know it all.

Sorry, you clearly like you X30, but to me it's not up to par IQ wise. Tis a shame, because as I say I love the manual zoom and the ergonomics in general are pretty sorted. I'm just hoping, come ...

I'm seriously considering this camera for myself. I've tried it in the shop and personally didn't find the AF problems you mention. Sure, it's shot to shot speed is a bit slow, but this isn't meant ...

Half the time when I'm taking photos I'm climbing mountains and would rather stick with big chunky knobs. Obviously this varies greatly for different people, but the only thing I think the...

I have a smartphone, but only because of the apps it has. If blackberry had an app store that was as full I'd buy one of those instead. I also assumed this was a discussion about cameras... I've...

I'm a young person, I don't.

It's ok, Sony are designed for the younger generation who are more than happy operating computers. Fuji and Lecia still do stuff for the older guys who are a bit stuck in their ways.

I imagine anyone who is looking at this camera is looking at it largely for the VF and form-factor. The only FF camera that could be considering similar is a Leica.
-
There's a lot more to a camera than the size of its sensor.
-
The better IS combined with the size does, yes. I've taken cameras that aren't weather-sealed out in as much rain as I want to be walking about in happily before. That and tbh I rarely holiday...

For you maybe not, for me and many others it is. Especially seeing as my photography is largely travel so longer lenses are almost never used.
-
To me a stabilisation system which works best with all lenses is better than one which only works as well with some lenses.
-
For me, and I'm sure many others, BarnET all those things are trumped by one simple thing: size. Well, that an better stabilisation anyway.
-
Speak for yourself. I'd quite like one of those.
-
Well olympus, to me anyway, seemed to be one of the main smaller format film cameras. Guess the companies are trying to mimic their own heritage.
-
Really like the first one. Don't find the second quite as striking though. Nice colours, seriously considering this little camera.
-
Then this camera clearly isn't aimed at you. Feel free to move along and spend your money elsewhere.

To me the G5 X doesn't look that bad softness wise, but the colours are so much better IMO. I handled one in a shop yesterday and it's miles ahead of any of the RX100 series when it comes to...
