General Agriculture

Our Agriculture degree program is built around direct, practical experience. Agriculture majors have opportunities to work on Delaware State’s demonstration farms, in the extension programs, and on research initiatives, gaining professional knowledge and problem-solving skills that translate directly to the workplace. Our students work with the most current technologies and techniques in a full range of agricultural specialties, including

Professional Preparation

With a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture from Delaware State University, graduates can pursue employment in almost any agricultural specialty. Faculty

Many of our instructors are very active researchers, and they regularly provide undergraduates with opportunities to get involved in scientific investigations and research projects. Research and Experience

All students in the Bachelor of Science in Agriculture program perform a senior capstone project in sustainable agriculture. In this project, students plan and evaluate real-world agricultural analysis that integrates factors such as

• labor requirements

In addition, some Agriculture majors may get involved in Delaware State’s extension programs, which provide various forms of support to the wider agricultural community, including research, training, education, and public outreach. These programs enable Agriculture students to collaborate with industry professionals on pilot programs, research projects, policy studies, and other initiatives. Undergraduates also enjoy opportunities to get involved in faculty-sponsored agricultural research programs.
