John Hermann: Choose wisely this election year

I’m just glad the Ericksons have deep enough pockets to stand up against the Nevada County supervisors and the building department.

It’s outrageous to me what is happening to them, and it’s even more outrageous that our tax dollars are being used to fight this case. Paying an outside private attorney’s firm for this instead of using the county’s attorney for this case, whom we already pay for.

For Supervisor Miller to call the plaintiff (Erickson) arrogant and to refer to this as a game makes my blood boil. Who has the ego here? The arrogant ones are our supervisors!

This just follows the same pattern as the marijuana urgency ordinance that was crammed down our throats. Lack of leadership, lack of planning, and poor decision making on the part of our supervisors with the exception of the voice of reason, Richard Anderson.

Time to clean house this election year. Choose wisely.

John Hermann
