Getting Started

Thank you for your interest in Delaware State University! From here you can explore what you need to get started on your journey toward a Delaware State University degree.

Undergraduate Students 

  1. Review DSU admissions requirements.
  2. Create an account to get started on your online application and pay $35 application fee.
  3. Forward your SAT or ACT test scores to Office of Admissions
  4. Mail your official high school transcript to DSU Admissions. 
  5. Check your application status


Transfer Students 

  1. Review DSU transfer admissions requirements to determine eligibility.
  2. Create an account to get started on your online application and pay $35 application fee.
  3. Mail official final high school transcript and transcript(s) from all institutions of higher education attended to Office of Admissions.
  4. Forward SAT or ACT scores (if applicable) to DSU Admissions.
  5. Check your application status


International Students 

  1. Start admissions process no later than 90 days prior to start of classes.
  2. Review the DSU international admissions requirements to determine eligibility.
  3. Create an account to get started on your online application.
  4. Forward all test scores, including TOEFL, to the Office of Admissions.
  5. Have your academic transcripts evaluated by a DSU recognized credential agency.  (if applicable)
  6. Submit all required financial documents to the Office of Admissions.


Military & Veteran Students 

  1. Review first-yeartransfer or graduate admissions requirements to determine eligibility.
  2. Create an account to get started on your online application and pay $35 application fee.
  3. Mail official high school transcript and college transcript (s) if applicable.
  4. Forward SAT or ACT scores if applicable.
  5. Check your application status


Graduate Students 

  1. Review DSU graduate admissions requirements to determine eligibility.
  2. Create an account to get started on your online application  and pay $50 application fee.
  3. Forward application packet to include transcripts, test scores and letters of recommendation to the Office of Admissions. (Check the requirements of the program to which you are applying)

Delaware State University was founded in 1891 and is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. Its main location is in Dover, yet DSU offers courses throughout the state of Delaware!
