Event targeting
Event targeting allows advertisers to quickly and easily discover, plan for, and activate events on Twitter.
Discover and plan for events using the event calendar
First, please visit ads.twitter.com. From there, navigate to the Tools tab and from the dropdown menu select “Event calendar” to view the event calendar:
You can filter the calendar by date, event type and location.
Learn more about the people you want to reach with event insights
View more information about an event by clicking on the event and selecting View more details.
This will take you to the Event Insights page, which will give you detailed demographics and reach metrics for the event
Activate your campaign
Click on the Create campaign link to quickly choose a objective-based campaign and launch a campaign targeting the event.
Can I layer on additional targeting to event targeting?
Yes, but only for geo, gender, language, age, and device.
When using event targeting, can I see individual breakdowns of the keywords / handles that have been targeted in their reporting?
No - similar to TV targeting, you will not be able to see individual keywords / handles within the overall event they’re targeting.
Should I use TV targeting or event targeting to target a televised event?
We recommend that you utilize event targeting to target a televised event that’s included in both event and TV targeting. This will expand your reach while maintaining precision of audience.
