Sony A7 series moisture proof?

OK in the long tradition of venting your anger on the internet rather than your nearest and dearest, I just want to say this....

This advert for the Batis seriously irritates me....

....because it 'explicitly' implies it is ok to use an A7x in the rain.

Now when this advert came out, I knew it wasnt true because the one occasion I very deliberately used my A7r in the rain, the shutter button failed due to 'oxidisation' and it cost me US$200 to be replaced.

15 months later on my A7ii, the on/off switch failed and it went back to Sony. This time because 'water' got into the main board it is going to cost US$950 to repair. Now, as you can imagine, I never used this A7ii in the rain (once bitten, twice shy) and can only imagine the 'damage' is caused by the fact that I live in a tropical climate and that condensation can occur by moving in between air conditioning and the tropics.

I can just about live with this although it is incredibly irritating. I remeber that Sony claimed at the very initial stages that their camera was weatherproof - but they quickly backtracked. But it is especially irritating to see Zeiss claiming weatherproofing of their lenses on an A7 that apparently cant even handle my air conditioning.
